SCHOOL BASED HEALTHCARE

Nationwide Children's Hospital School Health Center

Metro Schools has partnered with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to provide students with the same health care they would receive at a doctor’s office – right at school! The Nationwide Children’s school-based health center is located in the main office at Metro's middle & high school campus (420 E. 19th Avenue) and is open to all Metro Schools’ students and community members, ages 0 to 21. 

Services Provided

The school-based health care center can: 

  • Help when your child has a sore throat, bad cough, earache, headache 

  • Give shots (immunizations) 

  • Do blood work 

  • Perform checkups (well visits) 

  • Send medication to the pharmacy 

  • Provide sports physicals 

  • Treat asthma 

  • Treat anxiety, depression, and ADHD 

  • Connect you with a doctor 

  • Treat diabetes 

  • And more !

(Note: The center is not meant to replace your child’s existing pediatrician or family doctor. )

The health center at Metro is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Consent Form

Mandy Mohn, RN

Mandy is the Registered Nurse assigned to Metro. She is a graduate of the University of Mount Union and Kent State University.

Haley Bodager

Haley Bodager, MS, APRN, CPNP-PC

Haley is the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner assigned to Metro. She is a graduate of Miami University and The Ohio State University.
